Recreation in Jamestown meets the needs of young and old alike. Sports for the children are traditional, such as baseball, football, basketball, with a growing interest in soccer.
For the adults, there is an 18-hole Championship golf course open year-round. Jamestown is one of the smallest municipalities in the United States to operate its own public golf course.
Also, there are tennis courts, swimming, picnic areas, and boating facilities within the cooperate city limits.
Jamestown furnishes its citizens with ample recreational facilities.

As of October 2, 2008, the snack bar at the Park is now managed and serviced by Box Seats Sports Bar Inc/Above and Beyond Catering. In conjustion with operating the food and beverage services at the Park, the group is available to provide catering for events at the Jamestown Park shelters. Call the Park for more information.
The Town of Jamestown manages Gibson Park located at 527 W. Wendover Ave., High Point, NC 27265 Gibson Park is owned by Guilford County. The park consists of 200 acres. The park depicts the rifle makers who lived and worked in the Jamestown area in the mid 19th century. Rifle making was a chief industry. They manufactured a handcrafted muzzle-loaded rifle commonly known as the Jamestown long rifle. The Park features baseball, softball and soccer fields.
